PillSight is built and maintained by Studio Parkar. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how your data is handled.
2. Data We Collect
PillSight does not require an account and does not collect personal identifying information such as your name, email address, or location.
- When you count pills, your image may be temporarily sent to an AI processing service to detect and count pills.
- Scan results — including count, confidence score, optional label, timestamp, and a compressed copy of your image — are saved locally on your device.
- We do not require your name, email, or precise location for core app use.
3. Third-Party Services
- AI inference providers may process images to return a pill count.
- RevenueCat may be used for subscription and purchase state management.
- Apple App Store and Google Play handle app distribution and billing under their own policies.
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy and practices.
4. Local Data Storage
All scan history is stored privately on your device in the app’s sandboxed storage. This data is not accessible to Studio Parkar.
- You can permanently delete local history in the app settings.
- Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data according to platform behavior.
- If you export or share scan data, that action is initiated by you.
5. Children’s Privacy
PillSight is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
6. Security
We use standard security controls, including encrypted network transport where applicable, but no system can be guaranteed to be fully secure.
7. Medical Disclaimer
PillSight is not medical advice and not an FDA-regulated medical device. Always verify pill counts manually and consult qualified medical professionals for care decisions.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of PillSight after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
